Performance and design of steel structures reinforced with FRP composites: A state-of-the-art review

چکیده

Fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composite materials have gained popularity in civil, mechanical, aircraft, and chemical engineering domains due to their superior mechanical properties durability. They been used for strength durability enhancements of civil structures a wide range steel subject static (flexure, compression) dynamic (fatigue, impact, seismic) loads strengthened retrofitted. The enhancement provided by FRP composites depends on several parameters including fiber types, orientations, number layers, section types (geometry grade), member slenderness etc. Although the are sometimes affected severe environmental conditions that exposed to, these adverse effects can be minimized. This paper provides comprehensive review various techniques improve performance design using composites. Strength prediction models under loading presented this single document evaluation safe thereby minimise vulnerability failure.
